Leah LeBlanc
Visitor Services Manager
Leah LeBlanc is a Lafayette, LA native with a vast background in hospitality, retail, customer service, film production, event coordination, and program management. After graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2016, she served as the Creative Director for Letters of Empowerment, producing a collection of short films in collaboration with sexual assault survivors. She was also one of the founding members of an artist collective in Lafayette, working with local venues, musicians, and vendors to curate live shows and events. She moved to New Orleans in 2019 to oversee operations of a social hostel before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her lived experience with housing insecurity inspired her to pursue affordable housing advocacy at a non-profit and provided her the opportunity to expand her understanding of land-use policy, racial equity, community organizing, and narrative shifting. She enjoys working in the non-profit sector and continues to do so at the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, managing the Museum Store and private event rentals.
