Hailing from Orlando, FL, Cindy earned her BA in History and her naval commission from Tulane University. She started her career serving in the United States Navy. After receiving her MA in Community Leadership and Philanthropy Studies from The Hebrew University, she moved from Jerusalem, Israel, back to New Orleans, LA. In New Orleans, Cindy spent over a decade leading programs in volunteer management and fundraising, working locally in post-Hurricane Katrina recovery, health care, and higher education. Most recently, Cindy worked in grants management, helping to build programs to support Jewish social entrepreneurs. Cindy’s professional career has always been inspired by service and guided by Jewish values. Cindy lives in Metairie with her husband and step-daughter. She loves spending time in nature with her family and two energetic pups, Mabel & Cleo. Cindy is excited to be part of the MSJE team and to help continue the museum’s growth.
